This screenshot would be an example of what a scene in my animation would look like. I have used various photos of 1940s Britain to create a photomontage background. Elements of this montage, for example the postbox, have been put through a colour overlay so that they fit in with the colour theme of browns and greys. I will also use these objects as a means of interaction for the character.

Contextual Studies-Limbo
Limbo is a side scrolling puzzle game developed by Danish developers 'Playdead Studios'. I researched into this game for my disability awareness project and I have also been able to play on the game myself. I looked into it again because I thought it would be an ideal design reference to show depression.
The game uses a distinct visual style that is very similar to film noir. It is monochromatic and uses fog to create a feeling of isolation and eeriness. Within our project team we have decided to use this style to help with our animation.

First Post-Channel Ident Character
Here is my design for a character to animate in my channel ident animation. I wanted to create an eccentric, British character as the channel ident is for the channel 'Dave' and I feel like that would suit the theme of the channel. I used a hand drawn sketch and went over it in Illustrator to create smooth outlines and strong colours over my character.
